THE SHIFT OF POWER

Many years ago a pastor taught (I wrote it down); 'The law is independent of people, independent of circumstances- and faith is the law of victory'. How very true. wherever in the world you may go, the laws of that land applies to you no matter where you're coming from. the prevailing policies and social norms of the land is expected of you as well. As for circumstances, the judge will hardly absolve you of crime because you have good reasons. The law, therefore, is the law. You know what I'm thinking now? hen people change, their government will change! I mean, there's a shift of power when the subjects shift. When people change, their circumstances does not remain the same. In Nigeria there is a saying of the people, 'Our mumu don do ( our stupidity is enough)'. When we say that about our government, our expectations of government and parliamentary representation changes. Is it not so? This means whatever is ruling our lives; that may be sickness or disease, financial limitations, etc; IF ONLY WE WILL CHANGE, power will change hands, no doubt! An oppressive government will need a submissive subjects. When there's a shift in this kind of people, that kind of government will naturally shift because the bottle cap will have to fit the bottle neck. What is ruling your life may seek to prevent you from ever shifting. They can't afford you to change because if you change, they lose you. They will employ all manner of manipulations to convince you that you have  no choice. BUT ONLY IF YOU WILL CHANGE. This is why the Bible says in Romans 12:2, "...but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think." I am reminded of Isaac's words to his son Esau, " Gen 27:40 You will live by your sword,and you will serve your brother.But when you decide to break free,you will shake his yoke from your neck." Even if demons have you in chains, if ONLY you change and transform, that chain will no longer fit you. You won't even need to cancel and bind. The Bible says be transformed by renewing your mind in God's word. No one can have their mind renewed in God's word except they belong to God. A renewed mind is a changed person. That is the beginning of the shift of power in your life. People change their governments because government is a relationship between a ruler and the subjects. Whether it's a democracy or crack tyranny, it's still of government of people and the people can always change. We've seen revolutions all over the world.
